Challenge

This client came to me through a referral while they were still working on the content for an
African American and Caribbean nutrition handout. They were looking to design this document 508 compliant and visually appealing to the target audience.

Solution

 

I researched other collaterals that have been created for a similar audience, I researched vectors/patterns/icons that could reflect the tribe. However, to keep it modern I used one of the circular patterns throughout the handout as it was a content-first document. They wanted to make it highly visual so one could quickly look through the pages and gather the information, thus I added tables, charts diagrams, and images. The reactions to the end product were wonderful.
