A client—a social scientist and digital creator—had outgrown their existing logo and brand guide. While they wanted to preserve the essence of their long-standing logo, they sought a refreshed identity with a new icon that symbolized community, love, education, and growth while complementing the existing wordmark. Additionally, they needed an updated brand guide that could seamlessly integrate with their current collateral.
We explored multiple icon concepts that could function both independently and alongside the existing type-based logo. Once the final icon was selected, we expanded the brand guide to introduce a vibrant, modern color palette, contemporary typography, and design elements that resonate with a millennial audience. The impact of the rebrand extended beyond the initial scope—impressed with the results, the client commissioned a full refresh of their major touchpoints, including Facebook and LinkedIn cover and profile images, a podcast cover, a newsletter template, and a new digital ad campaign.
